e-ayiti

The e-ayiti project results from a partnership between Instituto-E and the Ethical Fashion Initiative of the International Trade Center (ITC), a UN agency that promotes socioeconomic development solutions through income generation and social inclusion. Instituto-E professionals were invited to visit Haiti in search of materials that the local population could transform into fashion pieces.

This partnership mapped several reusable materials: oil drums, colored telephone ropes, and tent fabrics left over from refugee camps. Subsequently, these materials were transformed into fashion accessories through the training of professionals selected by Instituto-E: necklaces, pendants, and bracelets, thus creating Osklen's e-ayiti collection and generating a new source of income for local artisans.
